Gatineau Chemin Cafferty 1

Acrylic, 11×14 on gallery wrap – $180

The leaves have not turned near us yet, but the sound of the Canada geese doing their practice runs is a sad reminder that the weather will soon get colder. Hope to enjoy the last blaze of summer as described by my piece called Gatineau Chemin Cafferty 1.

The paint-along of the Gatineau scene went well or maybe the participants were just too polite and kind not to tell me otherwise. I don’t pretend to teach, but was happy to do this for the ABI/Post Stroke program at the Bob MacQuarrie centre as part of the Arteast team. I have a great respect and admiration for the participants, all of whom were coping with difficult life challenges. Its hard not to realize this could happen to anyone of us. Would we handle it with as much courage and grace? Despite that, the sense from everyone in the room is upbeat, positive and fun.

One voice in 7 billion. Insignificant. What if we all spoke at once? Ear-splitting!! What if we all stopped to listen? Maybe, compassion.
