Sumac, Wild Grasses – Roadside

Acrylic, 22×28 on gallery wrap canvas – $680

In painting and photography, joy for me is landscape viewed broadly or really close up. I am that odd creature crouched down close to the dirt or standing arms stretched overhead, holding camera or iPhone aimed at nothing.  To the occupants in the cars whizzing by I am odd or just irrelevant, if noticed at all. Even on the backroads people are in a hurry, taking a short cut or urgently needing to be somewhere other than here. I cringe, about to be showered by the dust off the gravel road.

I am fortunate to have the time and the means to be nowhere in particular, doing nothing in particular. It has been a great outing as I head home with a haul of pics to see if I captured anything worthwhile. Either way the time spent is worthwhile and the experience relived back in the studio.

Fall Path

Acrylic, 24×18 on gallery wrap canvas – $480

Another fall path. Just enjoy the quiet, relaxing season when the sun is out and temps mild. An island of calm between the highs and lows of summer and winter.
