Blossom Time

Acrylic, 24×18 on gallery wrap canvas – $480

Although spring is slow in coming, teasing us with beautiful temperate spells and then blowing in biting cold. June will bring these sights. The buds set last fall will burst open into white and cream and all shades of pink.  The trees will send out sent invitations to the busy pollinators and the cycle will begin. Spring is optimism after the cold and sleep and rest of winter. It’s a hurry up season before the heat of summer. For us there’s no hurry, its a time to pause and enjoy.

Still Magnificent

Acrylic, 30×40 on gallery wrap canvas – $1320

This old-timer is soon to return to the forest floor where it will help nurture the young growth round it. Even in its current state it is beautiful, set off by the dried up gold on the saplings around it.

I forget the trail number, but it is part of the Mer Bleue woodland trails. The board walk thru some of the wetter sections protects the roots from the stress of foot traffic. At this time of year with milder temps and receding snow it is a great place for a meditative, unplugged wander thru nature. Remember to breath, its those trees that have refreshed the air the oxygen for you.
