First Snowfall, Petrie

Acrylic, 36×24 on gallery wrap – $950

When the snow first falls, its an exciting time. The dusting is a stimulation to the eye, outlining the beautiful tracery of branches and shrubs that were hidden in the greens of summer and drab browns of fall. The freshness of the change is an invigorating time that will be soon forgotten as the snow mounts and cold drags on. All the more reason to get out there and walk and breath and appreciate.

Autumn Vine

Acrylic Ink/Watercolour, 11×14 on 140 lb Watercolour Paper on 7/8 cradled board – $180

The fall colours of this Virginia Creeper ivy is a striking contrast with the cracked and variegated bark of this old oak. The beautiful colour of the vine and the graphic quality of the bark make for a compelling display. I just had to tromp thru the drying undergrowth to get a closer look.
