This piece is loosely based on a visit to Maple Lawn Garden, a nineteenth century estate, now a heritage site. I exercised artistic license with some virtual plantings, playing with shapes and colours and light to suggest a warm summer afternoon. This is a nice place to stroll and linger and perhaps to sit on one of the benches to just soak in the peace and quiet.
