Gardenscape Artist Lives Here

Acrylic, 18×24 on gallery wrap canvas – $480

Some houses you walk by it is obvious the person living there is proud of their home, is moved by the joy a rich garden can bring and takes pleasure in the work involved in tending that garden. This place was a wonderful example, sort of like a secret garden but out front. A sensitive artist in a living medium. I had to take a few reference photos … mobile phones are great for capturing spur of the moment pics and often can be candid (although my kneeling down on the sidewalk to get low angle views may have been a giveaway).

Forest Trail, Summer Memories

Acrylic on 22×28 gallery wrap – $680

This picture is an amalgam of fond memories, like a warm, comforting vegetable soup in the fall with lots of vegetables and a slice of homemade bread on the side. It records fun walks at Mer Bleue, feeding the chickadees (much easier in the winter than summer). It also reminisces walks along the escarpment trail in our neighbourhood. We called it the Buddy trail after our first dog. Two years on after he passed we thought we couldn’t go thru that again. Well along came our second sweetie, Belle. She is gone now as well. I think about them when I walk the trail.
