Old Shed, Old Vine, Undisturbed

Sometimes, its nice to focus in on the small and the overlooked. This piece is in praise of the found beauty in the plain ordinary and mundane. I’ve passed this small shed many times, meaning to stop and snap a few picks, hoping the owner won’t mind. I am glad the building is a bit neglected and this side forgotten, otherwise they may well have cut back the vine and shrubs.

I love the colour contrast and the graphic detail of the shadows and wood grain. Left undisturbed the vine clings in graceful curves. I love that about nature, everything has movement.

One voice in 7 billion. Insignificant. What if we all spoke at once? Ear-splitting!! What if we all stopped to listen? Maybe, compassion.
